More Time...

More time is what I wish I had to work on this site. I information to record and once I had done that I will feel free to go digging. The search for more information and connections is contagious. Mum is now 91 and living in Opotiki. She is well and enjoying life. My brother Malcom and his wife Beanie are close at hand. I have returned to Christchurch and enjoying being closer to my own children.

Hi there.

This is my attempt at recording my family history, for my kids.

The Family Connection Blog will spread out from myself, Tracey Dwyer (nee Cannons) and my husband Kevin Dwyer.

On these pages I hope to connect the family dots and tell some stories. Every family has its myths and characters, and I feel they should not be lost. As I write this my father is still alive, aged 91, and mum is 89. So as you can imagine we have been hearing stories for a long time. Unfortunately I should have listened better, as it is now hard to get them straight, even if it is from the horses mouth.

If you are someone who recognises names or pictures, within these pages, please do make contact.

Time passes us by and we do not know where it goes. Dad died nearly three and half years ago and this site is still struggling, or should that be me, to get sorted.
I have plenty to add and organise to the pages, but want to search - the fun part.
Will try and keep chipping away at this task as I still feel it is an important one. I must also make sure I have long talks with mum, who is still here and enjoying life in Opotiki, about family life.

Kevin and I moved back to the South Island early 2017 to be closer to our kids.
